Today, VDI, a subsidiary of Lintec Corp., is a key industry solutions provider to many industry leading companies – serving as one of the foremost custom roll-to-roll metallizers of evaporative and sputtered coatings.
VDI began producing opaque metallized material for the graphic and packaging industries in 1971. As demand for controlled density material for the window film industry grew in the 1970s, VDI became one of the early producers of controlled density evaporated aluminum material. VDI also helped in the development and early production of many industrial products, including flexible printing plates, holographic materials, microwave receptors, EMI shielding, printing ribbons, and others.
An Evolution of Growth
As its sputtering capabilities emerged in the mid-1980s, VDI was able to expand its offerings and footprint in the solar control market.
With continued investments in state-of-the-art vacuum coaters and slitters, today’s VDI is a proven innovation leader, as it adds new products and services to its capabilities year after year.
VDI maintains an ISO 9001:2015 certification and is widely recognized for flexibility and assistance in new product development and product improvements – garnering VDI respect throughout the industry for both high quality standards and excellent customer service.
